AImiigo SEO extension privacy policy
How the AImiigo SEO Chrome extension handles data. Last updated October 12, 2026.
In short
The extension audits the page you are viewing inside your browser. It does not track you, does not keep a browsing history and has no analytics. It sends page text to AImiigo only when you press Generate in the AImiigo AI tab, using your own API key.
What the extension reads
Only after you click the extension icon or use its keyboard shortcut, it reads the page in the current tab: the HTML, visible text, headings, links, images, structured data, Open Graph tags and the browser’s performance timings for that page. It also requests a few files from the same website, namely robots.txt, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, sitemap files, the favicon and the page itself again to read its response headers. This data is analyzed in your browser and is not sent to us.
What is stored on your device
Your settings, your AImiigo API key if you add one, the last tab you used and your last known credit balance are saved with Chrome’s local extension storage on your device. They are not synced to other devices and are deleted when you remove the extension. Audit results are kept only while the extension window is open.
What is sent to AImiigo, and when
When you press Generate in the AImiigo AI tab, the extension sends that page’s address, title, meta description, headings and up to 6,000 characters of its main text, together with your API key, to api.aimiigo.com. When you open Settings or the AI tab with a key saved, it asks api.aimiigo.com for your remaining credits. Nothing else is sent to AImiigo, and nothing is sent in the background.
How AImiigo uses that data
Only to write the draft you asked for and to count your credits. AImiigo does not store the page text. It keeps a usage record (time, tokens and credits used, and which key made the request) for billing, limits and abuse prevention, and deletes these records after 180 days. To write drafts, AImiigo passes the request text, but not your API key or account details, to the AI model providers it uses, such as Groq, Google Gemini, OpenRouter or Cloudflare Workers AI, which process it under their own terms.
Checking link status
If you press Check status in the Links tab, Chrome first asks you to allow access to all websites. The extension then requests each link on the page directly from your browser, without cookies, to read its HTTP status. These requests go to the linked websites, not to AImiigo.
What we never do
We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties outside the uses described here. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose of auditing pages. We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. We do not use it for advertising, and people at AImiigo do not read it, except with your permission, for security, or when the law requires it.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received through the AImiigo SEO extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Permissions
activeTab and scripting let the extension read the current page after you click it. storage saves your settings on your device. Access to api.aimiigo.com is optional and asked for when you turn on AImiigo AI. Access to all websites is optional and asked for the first time you check link status. You can remove both optional permissions at any time in the extension’s Settings.
Children
The extension is a tool for website owners and marketers and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too, and any change to what data is sent will be described in the extension’s update notes. Questions or deletion requests: [email protected]. Deleting your AImiigo account removes your email address and revokes your keys; its remaining usage records are no longer linked to your email and are deleted on the normal 180 day schedule.
